Gillette College Rodeo Qualifies Full Women’s Team, Three Men to CNFR
After months of work, growth, and momentum, the Gillette College Rodeo team is headed back to Casper in a big way. The Pronghorn women finished the regular season as Central Rocky Mountain Region reserve champions to qualify a full team to the College National Finals Rodeo, while three men punched their tickets to the CNFR in the team roping. Along the way, the Pronghorns claimed regional titles, rookie honors, and continued building on a season that showed the depth, competitiveness, and culture of the program.
Gillette College Rodeo closed out the 2025–2026 Central Rocky Mountain Region season with a very strong finish, qualifying a full women's team and three men to the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper this June.
The Pronghorn women finished the year as reserve champions in the Central Rocky Mountain Region with 3,065 points, earning a team qualification to the CNFR. On the men's side, Gillette College finished third in the region with 3,125 points and will send three team ropers to Casper.
Leading the women's team was Brylee Grubb, who put together a standout season to win the Central Rocky Mountain Region Women's All-Around title. Grubb also won the region in barrel racing and finished as reserve champion in the goat tying. She will compete at the CNFR in both barrel racing and goat tying.
Freshman Caitlin Moore also had a big year for the Pronghorns. Moore finished as the reserve champion in goat tying, splitting the reserve title with teammate Brylee Grubb, and earned the Women's Rookie of the Year title. She will represent Gillette College in the goat tying at the CNFR.
Staheli Adams and Kaeley Hutchison rounded out the women's team qualification and will both compete in the breakaway roping in Casper. Hutchison finished ninth in the region standings, while Adams finished inside the top 15 and helped push the Pronghorn women to a strong team finish.
On the men's side, the Pronghorns were led by freshman Drew Harper, who won the Central Rocky Mountain Region championship in the team roping heading. Harper punched his ticket to Casper after finishing the season with 625 points.
Cam Johnson finished right behind him as the reserve champion header with 595 points, giving Gillette College the top two spots in the region heading standings. Jess Harper added another CNFR qualification for the Pronghorns, finishing as the reserve champion heeler with 540 points.
Gillette College Head Rodeo Coach Casey Sellers said the team's year-end results speak to the work the student-athletes have put in all season.
"This group has worked hard, battled through a lot, and continued to show up for each other all year," Sellers said. "Rodeo is an individual sport in a lot of ways, but this team has really bought into what it means to represent Gillette College and compete for something bigger than themselves. We are incredibly proud of the full team and excited to take this group to Casper."
The College National Finals Rodeo will be held in June in Casper, Wyoming, where the Pronghorns will compete against the top college rodeo athletes in the nation.
Gillette College will be represented by Brylee Grubb in barrel racing and goat tying, Caitlin Moore in goat tying, Staheli Adams and Kaeley Hutchison in breakaway roping, Drew Harper and Cam Johnson in team roping heading, and Jess Harper in team roping heeling.
The Pronghorns now turn their focus to Casper, where they will represent Gillette College, the Central Rocky Mountain Region, and the community that stands behind them.
